Materials

The materials, which are used in the products, are all natural. The products are also treated in a natural way. This applies to olive wood, for example. The tree can produce olives for as long as several hundred years. The olives are the most important fruits of the tree, for centuries, for the production of oil and naturally to enjoy the olives. After cutting the tree, the wood is used to make utensils.
Because of the dryness, the roots of the tree have to reach far for water. That’s why the trees in the fields are placed in distance from each other. The tree grows in spring only, unless the fall is not too dry. Due to this dryness, the wood is a very strong and hard material and compact of structure.

Ceramic and Pottery

From clay and some additions, ceramic and pottery is made. The difference between the two is that ceramic is heated until 1300 degrees celsius and the pottery until 1200 degrees celsius. The pottery is more fragile.
Ceramic is decorated with different colours and different designs and pictures. The traditional colours are vivid, something that is very appealing.
